You could have a long, cantankerous discussion--not to say argument--about the relative merits of the various types of marine plywood on the market. But we won't go into all that here. Suffice it to say that Buck Woodcraft stocks only Okoume marine-grade plywood that conforms with a quality standard called BS 1088, which is short for BS 1088 British Standard for Marine Plywood. We believe Okoume BS 1088 provides a high-quality, affordable solution for applications that require long-term durability in the marine environment. All that said, we can supply any other type of marine-grade plywood you like.
Veneer Plywood This is plywood that generally does not qualify as being "marine grade", but is a high-quality plywood laminated with a surface veneer of teak, teak and holly, mahogany or whatever species of decorative hardwood suits your fancy. The veneer plywoods we stock are very suitable for marine cabinetry, cabin soles and the like.
